Enroll in the Payment Plan
Don’t stress over your tuition! Use NOVA’s Payment Plan to make tuition manageable. By entering the Payment Plan earlier, your tuition cost is spread over a longer period and your payments are lower.
For Spring 2024, if you enter the plan before November 28 and select the monthly five payment option, your classes will be secured with only a 10% down payment. The remaining balance will be spread over five months.
About the Payment Plan
Enrollment Fee
When you enroll in the payment plan, you will be charged an enrollment fee by our payment plan partner, Nelnet. Depending on the plan you choose, the enrollment fee will be $30.00 or $35.00.
Adjust Your Payment Plan
Increases or decreases to your Payment Plan account automatically change your payment plan budget amount and your semi-monthly or monthly payment amount will also automatically change based on enrollment changes, financial aid changes and other changes.
Increases will change your upcoming payment plan payment if the increase occurs at least 10 days before the next scheduled payment. Decreases will change your payment plan payment if the decrease occurs at least two calendar days before the next scheduled payment.
Extend Your Time To Make a Payment
If you get in a pinch and need a few extra days to make your regular scheduled Bi-Monthly or Monthly Payment, no problem. All you need to do is log on to your Nelnet Payment Plan Account, select your payment schedule and click on change payment date. You can also call Nelnet and make the request on the phone. Nelnet will not attempt to collect your payment for an additional five days after the regular scheduled date. You must make the request at least two business days before your regularly scheduled payment date and you can only request the delay two times in any semester.
Returned Payment Fee
Nelnet will charge a $30.00 non-refundable fee each time your payment is returned by your Financial Institution for any reason (i.e. non-sufficient funds, closed bank or credit card account, incorrect bank account number, stop payment).
Failure to Deposit and Re-Enrollment
If your payment plan is terminated for a failed deposit amount, you will be required to re-enroll as long as the payment plan enrollment period is still open. A new enrollment fee and down payment will be required.
If your plan is terminated for a failed deposit amount and the payment plan enrollment period is closed, you are responsible to pay NOVA directly, online, or in-person the total amount due on your student account minus any payments that Nelnet successfully collected that have not been credited to your student account.
Monitor Your Account
All payment plan participants are reminded to closely monitor your payment plan account, your college enrollment, and your college e-mail for any notification from Nelnet Campus Commerce or NOVA. Deadlines for terminating a plan account, making changes that effect the next payment, and certain dates and deadlines CANNOT be adjusted or changed.
