Receive up to $1,500 of gas, parking and emergency assistance

Who might qualify?

You might qualify for Workforce Advantage if you:

Are enrolled in a Workforce FastForward class
Are experiencing challenges paying for basic needs such as rent, transportation or gas
Currently receive SNAP or TANF, or believe you may qualify
Are a Virginia resident who has lived in Virginia for 12 or more months
Are a U.S. citizen or qualified non-citizen

Important: You must be enrolled in a Workforce FastForward class to participate in Workforce Advantage.

Support when you need it

We know that sometimes life gets in the way of school. Eligible students may receive support with:

Up to $200 of fuel assistance

This application is for students seeking fuel assistance to help cover transportation costs for commuting to in-person classes at NOVA through the Workforce program.

Eligible students are enrolled in a Fast Forward class with NOVA Workforce, prioritizing SNAP-eligible with demonstrated financial need

Unexpected expenses can make it difficult to stay in school. You may be eligible for emergency financial assistance when an unexpected financial need creates a barrier to your education.
