NOVA makes reasonable accommodations in providing courses, programs, building modifications, and auxiliary aids and services in compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA) of 2008. No academically qualified student with a disability will be denied access to or participation in the College's services, programs, and activities.

The mission of the Financial Stability and Advocacy Centers is to enhance student capability for academic success by providing personalized services that build strong financial foundations and access to community resources.

Office of Military and Veteran Services

The Office of Military and Veteran Services (OMVS) is designed to provide comprehensive resources to veterans and military-related personnel who are utilizing VA and tuition assistance educational benefits.

Some of our students want access to American higher education, some want entry or advancement in the workforce, and some want to improve their English language skills.

NOVA has two programs to help students improve their English language skills - College ESL and the American Culture and Language Institute (ACLI). Students can enroll in the NOVA ESL program that meets their needs.

Undocumented/DACA Students

This website is dedicated to promoting the success of current and prospective NOVA DREAMers. DREAMer(s) is an inclusive term for undocumented students with and without Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). NOVA is committed to creating a more diverse, inclusive, and equitable Virginia by fostering excellence in higher education. As the most diverse institution of higher education in Virginia, NOVA is driven by a  core commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusivity.

DEI Student Council

With a renewed commitment to Inclusive Excellence, NOVA is launching a student-centered Nighthawk Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council. This college-wide student group will give authentic voice, insight, ideas, innovation, and excitement to our ongoing work and education. The central focus will be embracing DIVERSE people, implementing more EQUITABLE practices, and creating a more INCLUSIVE environment across NOVA.
