How To Unlock Your Holds
A hold or service indicator on your record indicates that something is needed.This could be a financial obligation, documents needed, advisement needed, permissions granted, or a conditional status such as Dual Enrollment or Probation.
To See Your Holds or To Do List
Log in to My Nova > Click on VCCS SIS Student Information System > Self Service > Student Center > Under Academic to the right side you will see HOLDS and below see your To Do Lists. Click on the link to view the holds.
Academic Dismissal or Academic Suspension
- Please review policies.
- For more information or an appointment, contact the Counseling Office.
Academic Probation
- Watch the PASS Video and complete the PASS video.
- Email Advising to request an appointment. If you are a Pathway student please contact your Pathway Advisor.
Application is Self-Sufficient
You based your tuition status on yourself and must submit additional documents to verify you are self-sufficient.- Please submit Independent Form, your Federal and State Income Taxes, photo ID and Immigration Documentation (if applicable) to https://mysupport.nvcc.edu.

Debt to College or Debt to Controller

Debt to Financial Aid (Waiting for Information)
- Fees can be paid in your Student Information System.

Debt to Library
- Fees must be in person at the circulation desk.

Debt to Parking
- Fees can be paid at the Parking site.

Dual Enrollment or Home School/Special Provisions
- To Learn more about Dual Enrollment.
- Go to the Dual Enrollment Checklist.

English As Second Language
For advising and more information, contact the Counseling Office.
ESL Level 2
You tested into English Second Language Level 2 and must apply with the Student Service Center.
- Complete Class Schedule Worksheet Form.

Financial Aid is Being Held

High School Student
- Submit your final High School Transcript
- Or submit an Early Cert Form to https://mysupport.nvcc.edu.
New First Time in College
If you are a First Year Student under the age of 24:

No High School/GED Graduation

Pathway

Permanent Foreign Applicant or Temp/No Foreign Application
- You will need to submit your updated Immigration Documents to https://mysupport.nvcc.edu.

Parent, Legal Guardian, Spouse
- You based your tuition status on a Parent, Legal Guardian or Spouse, you will need to submit their immigration documents verifying a year of status to https://mysupport.nvcc.edu.

Student Visa Admission
International Students need to communicate with the Office of International Students.
Tuition - Legal Guardian
If you based your tuition status on your Legal Guardian.
- You can submit the Court Order verifying they are your Legal Guardian https://mysupport.nvcc.edu.

Under 18/Parent Signature
You are under the age of 18 and must:
- Submit the Application results with your parent's signature
Valid Visa Verifications
