At NOVA, we care about your emotional and physical well-being, in addition to your academic success. We now offer TimelyCare - a new, free telehealth program for students that provides 24/7 access to virtual mental health care from anywhere in the U.S.
If you're feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or are struggling with other mental health issues, you can talk to a licensed provider during secure video visits from your smartphone, laptop, or desktop computer. Please look at the following FAQs to learn more about this new resource.

Q. How can students access TimelyCare?
A. Students can access TimelyCare by logging into myNOVA or registering at timelycare.com/vccs. You can then have visits from any web-enabled device – smartphone, laptop, or desktop.
Q. Who can use TimelyCare?
A. Any student at NOVA.
Q. What services are available?
A. There are four services available:
- TalkNow: 24/7, on-demand emotional support to talk about anything, including anxiety, relationships, depression, and school-related stressors.
- Scheduled Counseling: Choose the day, time, and mental health provider that works best for you (3 visits per year).
- Self-Service Self-Care: Visit the "Explore" page within the TimelyCare app for guided self-care content.
- Basic Needs Support: Access to free or reduced-cost community resources, including food and housing assistance, transit support, childcare, and finances.
- Health Coaching: Develop healthy lifestyle behaviors, including nutrition, sleep habits, time management, and mindfulness.
Q. How much does a visit cost?
A. TimelyCare services are free to all NOVA students.

Dual-enrolled students are not eligible to access this service, and students under the age of 18 require parental permission to access telehealth services.
