The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (20 USC § 1092(f)) is federal law, better known as the Clery Act. The Clery Act requires colleges and universities to publish an annual security report by October 1, which documents three calendar years of select campus crime statistics including security policies, procedures, and information on the basic rights guaranteed to victims of sexual assault, dating violence, domestic assault, and stalking.

Each year the NOVA Police sends an e-mail notification to all students, faculty, and staff providing an electronic copy of the report along with a web link to access the report. As part of NOVA’s commitment to maintaining a healthy and safe learning and working environment, we encourage you to read NOVA’s annual security report. The annual security report contains detailed information about campus safety and crime statistics as well as information on programs and policies designed to prevent and address sexual violence, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking. Hard copies of the Annual Security Report may be obtained from the NOVA Police Department at 703.764.5000.
