Pay Your Tuition
Tuition is payable online by e-check with no fees or by credit/debit card (Visa, MasterCard or American Express) through VCCS SIS: Student Information System in myNOVA.
Please note credit/debit card payments are assessed a service fee by Nelnet Business Solutions.
Tuition is also payable by cash, check, money order, NOVA’s Tuition Payment Plan, third-party contract, or approved financial aid (except Work-Study).
- The College only accepts checks, cashier checks and money orders drawn on a US Bank made out for the exact amount due.
- Checks, cashier checks and money orders should be made payable to the order of NOVA or NVCC.
- Checks made payable to the order of the College and the student are also acceptable.
- All checks must include the student’s name and identification number. There are no exceptions.
The College can also accept wire transfers of funds from a bank to pay tuition.
- Students must contact a campus business office for specific instructions before submitting a wire transfer.
- Wire transfers received for more than the approved amount will not be accepted.
Financial Aid Support
If you have questions regarding financial aid, please call the 24-Hour Student Support Center at 855.323.3199. You may also submit documents online.
Questions regarding admissions, registration and records, please call NOVA's Call Center at 703.323.3000. You may also live chat or email us.
Payment Reminder
As a reminder to any student who enrolls in a class at NOVA, the student is responsible for the payment of that class after enrolling or the student must have other payment arrangements in place (payment plan, Third Party Billing, Veterans Benefits, financial aid etc.). If a student decides to NOT take a class/attend a class, the student is responsible for going into their MyNOVA account in SIS and dropping that class before the tuition refund deadline (census date). Failure to drop the class prior to the tuition refund deadline date will result in the student being charged for the class.
Students With Financial Aid
If you are enrolled in classes that are not eligible to be covered by Financial Aid, you must either replace those courses with eligible courses or make payment to the college for the total amount of tuition and fees for those ineligible classes. In addition, make sure that your total amount due for eligible classes is covered by anticipated aid or some other type of payment.
Your payment for ineligible classes may appear to be allocated across all your enrolled classes. As long as your payment to the college is equal to the total tuition and fees of your ineligible classes, and the balance of your account is covered, your enrollment in ineligible classes should be protected.
Credit and debit card payments must be made online. Those payments cannot be made at Business Offices. Cash and checks are accepted at any one of our six campus Business Office locations and can be applied to specific ineligible courses, as needed.
