World Traveler Graduates With Honors

Spring graduate Julia Jazynka has spent most of her life traveling the world.

“Due to my parents’ jobs, I have grown up overseas in many different countries. This has fueled my love of travel and I hop on a plane any chance I get,” she said.

When it was time to pick a college, Julia selected NOVA for the first two years as did her sister, Kristin.

“I definitely believe it was a smart decision to attend NOVA before transferring to a four-year college. Not only was it an economical choice, but I had a lot of great opportunities and experiences during my time at NOVA.”

Julia joined Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and earned an associate degree in liberal arts with Honors recognition while also working part time.

She has been accepted to George Mason University under NOVA’s Guaranteed Admissions Agreement and is also considering the University of Florida. If Julia chooses Mason, she’ll be in good company. Her sister transferred there after graduating from NOVA last fall.

English Professor Joyce Brotton said, “With her background and enthusiasm, Julia will fit in anywhere.”
