EMS 249 - Paramedic Capstone Internship (2 CR.)
Course Description
Provides summative evaluation of the Paramedic student in the cognitive, psychomotor, and affective domains. Laboratory 6 hours. Total 6 hours per week.
General Course Purpose
To provide a summative internship to ensure entry-level competence at the paramedic level.
Course Prerequisites/Corequisites
None.
Course Objectives
Upon completing the course, the student will be able to:
- Provide comprehensive assessment and management for a minimum of twenty (20) patients in the pre- hospital setting as the Team Leader.
- Demonstrate entry-level competency in a capstone psychomotor exercise.
- Demonstrate entry-level competency in a capstone cognitive evaluation
