Third Party Billing

Tuition Contracts at NOVA

At NOVA, we offer two types of tuition contracts to provide you with flexible payment options. Below, you'll find information about the Special Arrangement Contract (SAC) and the Third-Party Contract Arrangement (TPC). Click on the packet links below to access the contract form, a sample Letter of Authorization, and instructions on how to complete the contract process.

Special Arrangement Contract (SAC)

The Special Arrangement Contract (SAC) is offered to Virginia employers and makes the benefit of a reduced tuition rate for credit classes available to their employees. Under the SAC, students who reside out of the state of Virginia are charged the contract tuition rate. Students who reside in the state of Virginia are charged the in-state tuition rate. The employer assumes full liability for tuition charges of students they identified in their Letter of Authorization. Tuition and fees not covered under the SAC are the student’s responsibility and must be paid at the time of enrollment.

Third-Party Contract Arrangement (TPC)

A Third-Party Contract Arrangement (TPC) enables any organization based within the U.S. or U.S. Territory to guarantee and provide tuition payment for students attending NOVA’s credit classes. A TPC does not change domicile or rate of tuition charged to the student. The organization assumes full liability for tuition charges of students they identified in their Letter of Authorization. Tuition and fees not covered under the TPC are the student’s responsibility and must be paid at the time of enrollment.
