Parallel the first two years of a bachelor's degree program with the flexible NOVA Associate of Science (AS) in General Studies degree program. If you don't plan to transfer to a four-year institution to pursue a bachelor's degree, you can structure your program to suit your goals.
Build a solid foundation in the Virginia Community College System (VCCS) and NOVA general education core competency areas in NOVA's Uniform Certificate of General Studies (UCGS) program. Essentially the first year of an associate of science degree, this certificate is awarded to students in A.A. and A.S. degree programs who complete requirements.
