You’ll take classes, including Driver Task Analysis, that are approved by the state of Virginia. Through them, you’ll be qualified to teach in Virginia’s driver education training programs.

Economical Driver Education Instructor Program

You’ll receive an affordable driver education instructor certificate at NOVA. Earn your certification by completing just three courses for nine credit hours.


Northern Virginia Community College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award the driver education instructor certificate. It is a state-approved program, which means graduates are certified to be driver education instructors in Virginia.
