Transfer to a four-year college or university with NOVA’s Associate of Fine Arts (AFA) in Cinema degree. You’ll be prepared to complete a baccalaureate degree program in the visual arts with a major in cinema, film or media production.
You’ll learn from NOVA cinema faculty, who are industry professionals. They know what you need to learn to succeed at a four-year institution or in a career in cinema.
You’ll take classes with opportunities to work on professional film sets with industry equipment and pre- and post-production software. You’ll develop your portfolio with a cinema internship.
You’ll receive an affordable cinema education. You may even be eligible for NOVA scholarships that will help you offset the cost of your tuition.
Northern Virginia Community College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award the Associate of Fine Arts degree in cinema.
Credit for prior learning (CPL) generally refers to the process of granting college credit for learning gained in nontraditional ways, including but not limited to: certifications, AP or IB exams, military training, or life experience.
