Woodbridge is home to several signature programs that prepare students for high-demand fields, including our state-of-the-art Data Center Operations Training Facility and our HVAC program, which features a focus on building automation systems and controls. We’re also proud of our strong Early College partnership with Freedom High School, which gives students a head start on their college journey.

No matter your age, background, or goals, NOVA offers flexible learning options including online, hybrid, and in-person classes to fit your schedule. Beyond academics, our vibrant Student Life program features clubs and activities that foster friendships, leadership, and engagement.

We are committed to student success through a holistic approach that includes mental health services, food assistance, financial aid, and more; removing barriers so every student can thrive.

Our campus is also deeply engaged with the local workforce and business community. NOVA Workforce delivers continuing education and professional development that helps students gain skills, earn credentials, and grow their careers.

Thank you for choosing the Woodbridge Campus where we prioritize students and fuel the talent pipeline that drives our region’s growth and prosperity. We look forward to seeing you on campus.

Woodbridge Campus History

In 1965, Northern Virginia Technical College opened with 761 students in the Carlyn Springs Road warehouse, located in Bailey's Crossroads. In 1967, the College purchased 109 acres in Woodbridge to build one of six campuses to accommodate an ever-growing student body.

The Woodbridge Campus, originally called the Southern Campus, welcomed its first students in the fall of 1972. Today, it features five academic buildings, scenic outdoor spaces, and a vibrant campus community.
