DMS 266 - Vascular Ultrasound Registry Review (2 CR.)

Course Description

Presents students with registry examination preparation, test-taking strategies and skills that will facilitate the graduates' entry into the career of sonography. Lecture 2 hours per week.

General Course Purpose

The purpose of this course is to prepare students to sit for their national board examination and prepare for immediate employment into the workforce. 

Course Prerequisites/Corequisites

The student must satisfactorily complete all previous sonography courses with a grade of "C" or better.

Course Objectives

Upon completing the course, the student will be able to:

  • Apply test taking skills and strategies for board examination preparation.
  • Review the content specific to vascular technology.
  • Perform mock examinations to prepare for the ARDMS board examinations.
  • Complete board examination application.
  • Complete resume and interviewing skills to enter the job market.
