DMS 222 - Sonography Registry Review (2 CR.)

Course Description

Reviews material covered throughout the sonography program to prepare the student for the ultrasound registry examination. Lecture 2 hours per week.

General Course Purpose

The purpose of this course is to prepare students to sit for their national board examination and prepare for immediate employment into the workforce. 

Course Prerequisites/Corequisites

To be most useful, students should have completed or be enrolled in most of their other DMS courses.

Course Objectives

Upon completing the course, the student will be able to:

  • Apply test taking skills and strategies for board examination preparation.
  • Review the content specific to echocardiography.
  • Perform mock examinations to prepare for the ARDMS board examinations.
  • Complete board examination application.
  • Complete resume and interviewing skills to enter the job market.
