AUB 115 - Damage Repair Estimating (2 CR.)
Course Description
Teaches inspection and estimation of cost to repair collision damage. Emphasizes writing acceptable estimates for insurance companies. Studies practices used by repair shops and insurance adjusters. Lecture 1 hour. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 4 hours per week.
General Course Purpose
This course is a one-semester course designed to teach procedures, methods, and operations in the autobody and collision repair industry. This course is designed to advance the individual as an estimator.

Prerequisite or Corequisite - AUB 127
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, the student should be able to:
- classify various types of vehicle damage.
- identify various types of vehicle construction
- estimate the cost of the repair.
- explain the repair costs to a customer.
- prepare a repair estimate for an insurance company.
- Learning how to take quality photos.
