Seeking to provide veterans and military spouses with the best possible education that fits in with their many other priorities, NOVA is proud to be ranked eighth in the nation out of 747 schools to receive this prestigious designation.
Northern Virginia Community College will host a series of events that celebrate Black History Month through the many perspectives of black excellence. The college is excited to host virtual discussions with experts and students, workshops, speeches and remembrance ceremonies.
Northern Virginia Community College and George Mason University were selected to participate in the Equity Transfer Initiative (ETI) led by the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC), the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU), and the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU).
Over 100 students, faculty, staff and community members gathered on the Martin Luther King Day of Service to volunteer, virtually. The event, which historically takes place at NOVA’s Alexandria Campus, was moved online as all events are currently virtual. The theme for the virtual day of service was, ‘Taking a Stand for Service: Three Ways to Take a Step Toward Service and Justice.’
