The Northern Virginia Community College Educational Foundation (NOVA Foundation) will be hosting its 24th annual fundraising event in a virtual fashion on November 12th at 7:00 pm. The event theme is ‘Empower Bright Futures’ to celebrate NOVA and its students.

On Thursday, May 28th at 9 a.m. EDT, the National Press Club will host a 75-minute panel discussion with education leaders representing schools around the country. Dr. Anne Kress will offer leadership insights into the best safety protocols that NOVA has taken to ensure the safety of students, faculty and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic and how the college has upheld its commitment to student success as the nation’s second largest community college abruptly switched from in-class to remote learning and telework.
In partnership with the Hope Center for College, Community and Justice, Northern Virginia Community College will host the 5th annual #RealCollege conference at its Alexandria Campus in September 2021. With the support of a national advisory committee, and the generosity of initial donors like ECMC Foundation, American Cancer Society and the Lumina Foundation, the conference is a call for communities to act on the real needs facing today’s college students in an effort to secure their basic needs.
