Dear NOVA Graduate,
On behalf of Northern Virginia Community College, we are writing to send you one more congratulatory message. You are a college graduate! Reflect on all that you have accomplished—your achievements are inspiring!
Each time you look at your diploma, feel a sense of pride. You have earned it!
We know that this year did not end in the celebration that we all expected, and we are very sorry that the pandemic has pushed the spring commencement out to October 26. All of us at NOVA do hope that you will be able to join us then. We want you to hear our cheers and applause as you walk across the stage and take your well-deserved moment in the spotlight.
The resilience, determination, and strength that you displayed during all of your semesters at NOVA will serve you well in the future. As you transfer to complete your four-year degree or enter the workforce to begin your career, carry your NOVA experience with you. The knowledge, skills, and abilities you learned inside and outside of the classroom; the connections you made with our faculty and staff; the friendships you made; and the memories that will last a lifetime: all are embodied in your degree and diploma, and they will only increase in value over time.
We encourage you to stay in touch with NOVA. Let us know how you are doing and what you have accomplished. You have joined a powerful community, Nighthawks alumni. You will always matter to NOVA!
If there is ever a moment when you doubt yourself, when you wonder if you can do it, look back on your NOVA degree and know that you are remarkable, you have achieved great success, and you are capable of achieving even more. You are why we are Boldly NOVA! We are so proud of you—congratulations!
