Northern Virginia Community College Seeks Input in the Search for a New President

Annandale, Va. (Feb. 4, 2019) – At the end of last year, Northern Virginia Community College President Scott Ralls announced he would be leaving the College in March 2019 to become the president of Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh, NC. The initial stages of the search process to select the next president of Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) are now underway. NOVA and the Virginia Community College System (VCCS) will conduct a nationwide search for his replacement.

NOVA and its College Board invite the community to participate in a survey to help direct the presidential search process. The survey was designed to identify the most pivotal challenges and opportunities NOVA will face over the next three to five years. The survey is located on the NOVA website at http://www.nvcc.edu/pressearch/survey/community/. All survey responses will be kept anonymous. The website will accept completed submissions until  Monday, February 11 at 5:00 p.m.

The survey replies will be compiled by NOVA and shared with the VCCS Chancellor. The survey data will then become part of the material used by the NOVA College Board and the VCCS in their nationwide search to identify and select the next NOVA President.
