The Northern Virginia Community College Educational Foundation (NOVA Foundation) will be hosting its 24th annual fundraising event in a virtual fashion on November 12th at 7:00 pm. The event theme is ‘Empower Bright Futures’ to celebrate NOVA and its students.
National, state and local dignitaries will join NOVA’s new President, Dr. Anne Kress in contributing remarks about the college’s impact in the community and the importance of NOVA students as a pipeline of trained talent for our region. Featured speakers include U.S. Senator Mark R. Warner, former Virginia Governor Terry McAullife, Virginia Secretary of Education Atif Qarni, and Fairfax County Supervisor Pat Herrity. The event will be hosted by Buddy Rizer, Executive Director of Loudoun County Economic Development Authority and member of the NOVA Foundation Board.
The NOVA Foundation is pleased this year to honor 100WomenStrong, a Loudoun County fund that enhances the lives of residents by providing strategic support to address, homelessness, and lack of basic healthcare, and other areas of need.
The NOVA Foundation empowers bright futures for students and local communities—welcoming and supporting students who reflect the vibrant diversity of our region. Funds raised by the Foundation support NOVA students through their educational journey into valuable career paths. Now more than ever, it is important to realize that an investment to empower a NOVA student is an investment in our community.
