Each year, thousands of students successfully transfer from NOVA to George Mason University. NOVA works closely with Mason to offer students a seamless transfer process.

Mason Opportunities

The Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) offers adult learners who earned an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree at NOVA to pursue a bachelor’s degree in the following concentrations:

  • Applied Conflict Analysis and Resolution
  • Conservation Studies
  • Cyber Security (completely online!)*
  • Defense Information Systems Technology (DIST – completely online!)
  • Health, Wellness, and Social Services (hybrid and fully online tracks available)
  • Human Development and Family Science
  • Legal Studies
  • Technology and Innovation (completely online!)

*The concentration in Cyber Security is a collaboration with NOVA.

Bachelor of Applied Science

The bachelor of individualized study (BIS) may be for you. The BIS program offers you a distinctive opportunity to complete your degree. BIS has a flexible curriculum: As a BIS student you create an interdisciplinary concentration to meet your own educational needs.

Bachelor of Individualized Studies

A college course designed to produce students with the necessary skills and leadership training to become officers in the United States Army, Army Reserve and the Army National Guard.
