Adult Career Pathways (ACP) Referral

NOVA’s Adult Career Pathways program is for unemployed or underemployed workers, low-wage workers, work-eligible immigrants with strong English skills, and young career starters with a high school diploma or GED. The program connects participants with NOVA career counselors who assist in developing an education or training plan to earn a certification or credential that may help the individual qualify for and secure a better job with a path toward advancement and greater economic security.

ACP Career Counselors help participants: What is unique about this program?
  • Assess their skills and experience;
  • Identify career goals and pathways to achieve them;
  • Develop an individual plan of education, training, or other program(s);
  • Learn about programs and opportunities available through NOVA; and
  • Navigate forms and procedures necessary to attend NOVA & apply for financial assistance.
  • Students receive personalized assistance from NOVA’s career counselor to help achieve their career goals.
  • Career Counselors continue to assist participants pursuing their career plan for up to three years.
  • Participants can access their counselor via phone, email or in-person at community locations, as well as on NOVA campuses.

Note: Only those who meet the program requirements listed above are eligible to enroll in the Adult Career Pathways program. Referrals will be contacted and invited to an information session to learn more about the program, and sign-up.
