Administrative Unit Planning and Evaluation
Announcement for Administrative Unit Planning and Evaluation (AUPE)
In Spring 2022 and Summer 2022, the Office of Strategic Insights (OSI) listened to feedback from Administrative Council members and faculty teams regarding planning and assessment efforts at NOVA. We thank everyone who was engaged in discussions and providing valuable insights to improve planning and assessment at NOVA.
Administrative Unit Planning and Evaluation (AUPE), formerly known as Annual Planning and Evaluation Reports (APER) for Administrative and Campus Units, will not submit a 2021-22 report this year. Instead, OSI will coordinate with stakeholders to review the process, update the templates, and set goals for Administrative Unit Planning and Evaluation (AUPE). Going forward, administrative units will report on specific strategic plan metrics and may not report annually. See the table below for the reporting schedule.

Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP)
Northern Virginia Community College is currently seeking reaffirmation of accreditation from the Southern Association of Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). As part of the accreditation process, NOVA is expected to develop a Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP). According to SACSCOC a QEP must include the following: (a) a topic identified through our ongoing, comprehensive planning and evaluation process; (b) involvement of broad-based support of institutional constituencies; (c) a focus on improving specific student learning outcomes and/or student success; (d) allocation of resources to initiate, implement and complete the QEP; and (e) a plan to assess achievement.
We invite you to explore this website to learn more about NOVA’s QEP!
The QEP is formally directed by the Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Chief Academic Officer.
