NOVA and the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce to Host Discussion on “The Future of Work”, Jan. 25

Annandale, Va. - On Wednesday, January 25, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce will host, in partnership with Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA), their annual economic outlook event, titled “The Future of Work.” This year’s event will provide a first look at findings from the second annual Northern Virginia Workforce Index, a survey of regional employers on workforce-related issues developed by the two organizations. This event will be hosted both online and in person at George Mason University’s Van Metre Hall auditorium located at 3351 Fairfax Drive, Arlington, 22201.

NOVA President Anne M. Kress will kick off the event with remarks on the Workforce Index report’s key findings, followed by a panel discussion moderated by Steve Partridge, vice president of strategy, research and workforce innovation at NOVA. The esteemed business leaders who will offer engaging perspectives are:

  • Neil Walker-Neveras, chief talent officer, M&T Bank
  • Sukumar Iyer, founder and CEO, Brillient Corporation
  • Buddy Rizer, executive director of economic development for Loudoun County

This annual study tracks trends and gathers information on our region's current and future workforce. By providing insights into hiring, how the workforce is shifting, and how employers view the economy, it has become a vital tool for economic and workforce decision making in the region.

Deadline to Register: 9 a.m. January 24, 2023
