NOVA Workforce Presents 2020: Year in Review

As one of the largest higher education and workforce training providers in the region, NOVA closely tracks local economic trends to ensure that its programs and services are data-driven and responsive to shifts in both employer demand and student needs. A new ‘2020 Year in Review’ report from NOVA Workforce provides an overview of these economic and workforce trends from the past year and examines how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the Northern Virginia region.

In the report, NOVA Workforce looks at consumer spending, employment, unemployment, job postings and earnings to find that the region has fared better than much of the country during the pandemic. It also considers the scope of the region’s economic response so far. The full report can be found [here].
