Schedule of classes --
Developmental Math has been redesigned at NOVA.
All Developmental Math now uses the MTH 1 designation. This new course structure allows you to skip sections of material in which you already can demonstrate competency, and concentrate on the material in which you demonstrate weaknesses. If you placed into MTH 1, MTH 2, MTH 3 or MTH 4, either by the placement test, or from your prior coursework in developmental math, this course will work for you. Further testing will be done to determine where you will start. You will then work through a structured set of activities, using MyMathLab, an online learning system, with the close guidance and support of an instructor and tutors. You will meet for two hours per week in a computer classroom with your instructor, and will also attend the open computer math lab for a minimum of two additional hours per week. Go to the Science and Math Division office at your campus to learn more about the new MTH 1 course structure.
