From robotics to rocketry, summer STEM camps offered by Northern Virginia Community College’s SySTEMic Solutions will take place at multiple locations across the region. Summer STEM camps are integral to SySTEMic Solutions’ mission to spark an early interest in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), equipping youngsters with skills to pursue STEM education and ultimately strengthen the local workforce.
Landscape paintings by Samuel Musa of Haymarket will be on exhibition in Colgan Gallery at the Manassas Campus of Northern Virginia Community College from May 23 to July 22. Musa started painting in his 70s after retiring from various management and research positions in government, industry and academia. His only formal art training has been the studio art classes he started taking at NOVA-Manassas five years ago. He began painting with pastels, progressed to acrylics and is currently working in oils.
The Verizon Gallery at the Northern Virginia Community College Annandale Campus’ Richard J. Ernst Community Cultural Center is pleased to announce the exhibition Color Chords: Vibrations of the Washington Color School opening Tuesday, May 24. Exhibiting artists include Jeremy Flick, Matthew Grimes, Bill Hill, Andrew Hudson and Barbara Januszkiewicz.
