The Community College Initiative (CCI) Program Magazine: Building Sustainable Dreams for a Better Tomorrow
Since the inception of the program, CCI has continued to evolve and respond to global workforce needs, expanding to new countries, fields of study, and partner institutions. Since 2007, more than 80 community colleges have hosted over 3,800 participants from 28 countries, providing opportunities for participants to engage with peers in their host communities by sharing their culture and unique perspectives, and contributing to the internationalization of U.S. college campuses. When CCI alumni return home, they return with a deeper understanding of U.S. culture and with new skills to help them tackle critical issues in their local communities, thus contributing to the development of their countries.
