Associate of Fine Arts Degree in Cinema

Transfer to a four-year college or university with NOVA’s Associate of Fine Arts (AFA) in Cinema degree. You’ll be prepared to complete a baccalaureate degree program in the visual arts with a major in cinema, film or media production.

Accreditations

Northern Virginia Community College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award the Associate of Fine Arts degree in cinema.

CINEMA PROGRAM CAREER OUTCOMES

By studying cinema at NOVA, you’ll prepare to transfer to a four-year institution. You’ll gain skills for future success by studying film production principles, directing, digital editing, cinematography, camera operation, lighting color grading, motion graphics, acting, and so much more.
