  • Career Prospects

Students who are enrolled in co-operative internship degree and certificate programs, such as the GM ASEP and WANADA programs, begin their careers right away as apprentice technicians while attending school. Upon graduation, students will already have the experience to start working as technicians on their own. Students who complete our degree and certificate programs without an internship component will be eligible for a position as a technician apprentice upon graduation. Other career options in the automotive field available to graduates include service writing, parts specialist, sales representative, warranty administrator. Some go outside of automotive with their problem solving skills to repair medical, manufacturing, and building equipment. With additional experience, technicians may choose to enter into higher-level career areas in the automotive industry such as shop foreman, service manager, automotive instructor, or start their own repair facility.
