About The Program

The Architecture Technology program prepares students for employment in the field of architecture, construction and urban design, utilizing their construction knowledge, graphic communication and problem-solving skills.

Program Details

The Architecture program has been designed as two track program to prepare students for entry into building industry fields like architecture, and construction land developing among others with the possibility of internship in specific areas, and prepare students for transfer to four-year institutions. The program offers various technical electives to satisfy both tracks. The Architecture Technology program is constantly receiving advice from Architecture Advisory Board members who are leaders in the industry to develop and update courses, making our students and graduates marketable in the industry.

  • Credit for Prior Learning

    Northern Virginia Community College accepts industry-standard certifications, credentials and/or professional courses for credit. Broadly, licenses, credentials and/or certifications must be current and valid for consideration. For more information regarding the status of the certification and its eligibility for credit, please see an advisor or faculty members in the discipline area that awards CPL credit.
