Jim Crane - STEM Coordinator Annandale

Jim started his career teaching high school physics in the Philadelphia region, where he enjoyed working with the faculty and students as the science department chair and robotics director.

He left the classroom to join the REC Foundation, serving in various roles, including Director of Competitions, to engage his passion for both performing arts and science. He is currently the Technical Chair for Mobile Robotics Technology for SkillsUSA and enjoys working with industry partners to bring workforce opportunities to students.

Jim holds a master’s degree in engineering, specializing in systems engineering from Penn State University and is excited to partner with NOVA to increase the student involvement in STEM.
