Guided by VCCS’s strategic plan, NOVA’s 5Es, and our existing network connection with Achieving the Dream, NOVA launched its Student Success Team. The team’s charge is to better understand the current state of our student success work and the results to date. This team will collaborate with Academic Affairs; Student Services; Institutional Research; Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; and College Partners to establish a cross-functional core team and task forces designed to use data to redesign practices and policies to eliminate equity gaps for all students.

Our Team

NOVA has selected co-leads, Courtney Boland, Dr. Dahlia Henry-Tett, and Kirstin Riddick, for the team leadership and development. The co-leads have the necessary support from Vice Presidents of Student Services and Academic Affairs for decisions and implementation planning. The Student Success Team recognizes the team structure will change over time as the scope of our work evolves. Moreover, significant transformation may occur as team building moves from planning and design into implementation.
