About the Team

Nighthawks Rugby is the newest sport at Northern Virginia Community College and the only Women’s, 2-Year Rugby Program of its kind. Established in August of 2019 by a few students who had participated in and completed the Rugby Student Leadership Program at the Loudoun Campus, these few students caught the rugby bug and it was full steam ahead.

Sportsmanship. Teamwork. Inclusion. These are the values the club was founded on and we work every day to put them into practice. Nighthawks Rugby is open to any female student enrolled at NOVA Regardless of experience. We pride ourselves on being incredibly beginner-friendly while also setting high team standards during practices and games.

We have already begun getting together this summer in anticipation of and preparation for a return to competitive play this Fall. For more information about joining the team for the 2022/23 season, please contact CJ Jackson at cecijackson@nvcc.edu.
