Workforce & Continuing Education FAQ

Will NOVA Workforce/Continuing Education/ACLI courses be offered in person or online?

Most NOVA Workforce courses will be offered in one of our approved distance-learning formats. The majority of courses will use synchronous online delivery - class meets at a set day and time online with an instructor - via Zoom.

Certain courses require hands-on instruction, which will take place on campus under safety and physical distancing guidelines.

I am having problems accessing my Workforce course online.

Please email NOVAWorkforceAnswers@nvcc.edu, if you did not receive your class Zoom invite or need additional help with the online classroom.
 
You can access CANVAS Student Resources and Zoom help guides, or you can reach the IT Help Desk online or by phone.

What if my course is canceled?

We will notify you if your course is canceled due to insufficient enrollment or other extenuating circumstances. You may elect to switch to a future course or receive a refund.

What if my course is rescheduled?

We will notify you if your course is rescheduled to a later date. If you cannot attend the class at a later date, you may elect to switch to another course or receive a refund.
