Annual Planning and Evaluation Reports (APERs) for Administrative and Campus Units

The Office of College Planning and Evaluation supports administrative and campus unit staff to ensure that each unit is advancing NOVA’s mission and strategic plan, thereby enhancing institutional effectiveness and student achievement at the College. Each administrative and campus unit reports on its expected outcomes, with foci being either learning-based or operational. Expected outcomes are linked to one or more of the nine Strategic Plan objectives. In each APER, units assess areas that are new, under development, or need improvement.

Administrative and Campus Units report on four areas:

  1. Expected Outcomes – Indicates where learning or operational enhancements will occur.
  2. Measure with Target – Identifies evaluation activity that aligns with the Expected Outcome(s).
  3. Results – Provides data on unit performance that is broken down by each component of the outcome.
  4. Use of Results – Determines strengths of results and identifies areas to improve based on results. Develops an Action Plan for the next evaluation cycle.
