The NOVA Sexual Assault Services (SAS) program addresses issues of sexual assault, dating/partner violence and stalking. SAS provides free and confidential support services to any member of the NOVA community; including students, faculty, staff and immediate family members, regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, gender or sexual orientation. A Sexual Assault Services Coordinator is on call 24 hours a day to assist members of the NOVA Community via phone, text, email or in person. A SAS Coordinator can provide options and information to victims/survivors at a safe place on any NOVA campus.

Free and Confidential Services offered by SAS:

  • information regarding options for reporting and staying safe
  • referral services to other community agencies
  • information about protective orders and victim's rights
  • counseling and support services
  • accompaniment during medical, legal and/or conduct processes
  • academic advocacy
  • victims/survivors' support groups

The Sexual Assault Services (SAS) program provides educational outreach in classrooms on these issues by request. We also assist students working on research projects or classroom assignments related to sexual assault, relationships, violence and abuse and stalking.

If you want more information or are seeking services, please contact SAS (24 hours a day) by texting or calling 703.338.0834 or by email at nova.sas@nvcc.edu.
