Students to take center stage during performance
The NOVA Alexandria Band and the John Adams Elementary Orff Ensemble will perform a variety of musical selections as part of the Children’s Concert. The concert reflects the Alexandria Campus’s commitment to its community and is also a celebration of music education in the city’s local schools.
Among the selections include “The Elephant and the Flea,” “Saxophobia,” “The Whistler and his Dog,” and “Largo al Factotum,” from the opera “The Barber of Seville.” The evening will include a recognition ceremony for student finalists from the Alexandria City Public Schools in the visual and performing arts categories of the National PTA Reflections Programs.
The Grand Finale will include a combined performance by the NOVA Alexandria Band, the John Adams Elementary Orff Ensemble and area elementary and middle school students. The concert is free and open to the public. Parking is free in the Beauregard Street Garage.
