A new noncredit language course will be offered this fall at the Woodbridge Campus of Northern Virginia Community College. “Mandarin Chinese I” will meet on Wednesdays from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. beginning on Sept. 21 and ending on Dec. 14.
“Mandarin Chinese I” covers listening, speaking, reading and writing skills through conversation and exposure to Chinese culture. Emphasis will be placed on pronunciation and simple vocabulary related to daily activities.
“Spanish I” also begins on Sept. 21 at the Woodbridge Campus. “Spanish I” is an introduction to Spanish language and culture. The course will cover pronunciation, grammar rules and simple vocabulary.
In addition, NOVA’s Manassas Campus is offering three noncredit language courses: “Spanish I” starting on Sept. 12, “Spanish II” starting on Sept. 14 and “Beginning Conversational French” starting on Sept. 20.
