Seniors invited to annual holiday luncheon at Northern Virginia Community College in Manassas

October 9, 2012

Registration begins Nov. 5 for the annual Senior Citizens Holiday Celebration at the Manassas Campus of Northern Virginia Community College. The event is free, but reservations are required due to limited seating. Seniors may call 703-257-6543 to reserve their seat.

To keep the process fair, early reservations will not be accepted. Each person will be limited to two tickets which will be mailed before the event. Registration will close when seats are filled.

This year’s party will take place on Nov. 29 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the campus cafeteria. Guests will be treated to a delicious lunch, musical entertainment and a special visit from Santa Claus.

Patricia Gary, planning committee chair, says that Manassas Campus faculty, staff and students look forward to the luncheon each year with great anticipation and joy.

“We enjoy the celebration that signals the start of the holidays for many of us on campus and for our senior friends in the community,” Gary said.
