Marie Tyler-McGraw Book Talk and Signing

On March 20 at 2:30 p.m., Dr. Marie Tyler-McGraw will discuss her book, “An African Republic, Black and White Virginians in the Making of Liberia,” at the Loudoun Campus of Northern Virginia Community College. Tyler-McGraw’s book explores why the 19th century American Colonization Society (ACS) project of persuading all American free blacks to emigrate to the ACS colony of Liberia was not successful. She will be available after the discussion to sign copies of her book.
