NOVA Hosts Climate Change Programs
February 25, 2008
On January 30 through February 1, NOVA joined 1800 colleges, universities and other public organizations in hosting a variety of programs and events focused on the issue of climate change and what it means for our society. Experts from NOVA’s faculty and from area universities, government, media and private organizations made presentations and took part in panel discussions that attracted large and enthusiastic audiences on each campus.
Sponsored by NOVA’s Green Committee and supported by the College Senate, campus councils and a host of faculty, staff and students, the presentations informed the audience and won extremely favorable coverage for NOVA in local media. For more details, visit the Green Committee’s Web site at http://www.nvcc.edu/committees/green.
