More than 150 local seniors are expected for the 19th annual Senior Citizens Holiday Celebration on Thursday, Dec. 3 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Northern Virginia Community College in Manassas. Guests will enjoy a delicious meal, festive musical entertainment and a special appearance by Santa Claus (portrayed by math professor Ed Anderson). Faculty, staff and students organize this free event as a community service.

Every year, many people and businesses help make the event a success by providing contributions. This year’s contributors include Advantage Physical Therapy, Caring Hands for Seniors, DeVa Hair Gallery & Boutique, Employment Enterprises Inc., Giant Food of Gainesville, Hard Times Café, Home Instead Senior Care, J & J Automotive, Lifelong Learning Institute, Manassas Cinemas, NOVA-Manassas Symphony Orchestra, NVCC Educational Foundation, Old Town Manassas Antiques, Pepsi-Cola of Central Virginia, Prince William County-Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce, Samantha Spittle/Mary Kay Cosmetics, Target of Sterling, Touching Hearts at Home, Uno Chicago Grill, Wegmans Lake Manassas and Carolyn Wysocki. In addition, Manassas Campus faculty and staff donated poinsettias for door prizes.
