Groundbreaking ceremony for new building at NOVA-Woodbridge

On Friday, March 18 at 10 a.m., officials will break ground for a building that will add almost 84,000 square feet of academic space to the Woodbridge Campus of Northern Virginia Community College. Speakers include Sen. Charles J. Colgan, Prince William County Board of Supervisors Chairman Corey A. Stewart, Virginia Community College System Chancellor Glenn DuBois, and NOVA President Robert G. Templin Jr. The Woodbridge Campus is located at 15200 Neabsco Mills Road. The program will begin in the campus theater.

Three science laboratories
Two art studios
11 classrooms
Art gallery
Computer graphic design studio
Cisco computer laboratory
Photo studio with dark room
Two open computer lounges
12 group study rooms
Black box theater with 215 seats
Lecture hall with seating for 160
35 faculty offices
New campus library with 7,350 square feet of space
New cafeteria with seats for 120 people inside and outdoor patio
Geothermal heating and cooling system
Building will meet LEED Silver certification
