NOVA-Woodbridge-No classes Tuesday, Jan. 30, but Faculty and Staff should report to campus

The Woodbridge Campus of Northern Virginia Community College will remain closed for classes on Tues., Jan. 30. However, NOVA-Woodbridge Faculty and Staff should report to campus.

A pipe that burst on Wed., Jan. 24 in the Seefeldt Building, the largest classroom building on the campus, caused extensive flooding that affected both power and internet connectivity, and the building will require extensive repairs.

Campus administrators are working to move classes to other locations on or near campus. Students may email their instructors for details on when classes will resume. Students should also continue to check their college email address as well as the NOVA Website, www.nvcc.edu for updates.

NOVA has continuity of operations plans, also known as COOP plans, in place for each campus and all college properties. This careful planning by NOVA’s Office of Emergency Management and college administration has proved helpful in quickly addressing unexpected situations such as this one and serves to minimize disruption to the NOVA community.
