Waddell Art Gallery at NOVA-LO to exhibit Ron Meick’s Reconfigurations—Crumpled Print Series

The Waddell Art Gallery at Northern Virginia Community College’s Loudoun Campus will host Ron Meick’s Reconfigurations—Crumpled Print Series. The exhibit will run from Mon., Feb. 20 through Friday, March 24.

“A continuing series of small monotypes have been printed, colored, and then crumpled,” Meick said. “It results in an emotionally difficult decision to crush after carefully printing and painting the image. It is a process of compression, concentration, and unpredictable outcomes.”

Meick has been shown in nearly 19 exhibitions since 1981 and has been featured in the Washington Post Arts & Style section. Born in Sidney, Neb., he received his BFA in Sculpture from Rhode Island School of Design. He currently lives in Arden, Del.

The Waddell Art Gallery is located at 21200 Campus Drive, Sterling, Va. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. For information on the gallery or the exhibit, visit www.nvcc.edu/loudoun/ArtGallery, or call 703-450-2627.
