The Alexandria Campus of Northern Virginia Community College will celebrate an innovative addition to its campus and to the College community. On Friday, October 6 at 10:00 a.m., NOVA Alexandria Campus will officially cut the ribbon for the new Center for Design, Media and the Arts building, located at 3301 Netherton Drive, Alexandria, VA 22311.
This state-of-the-art facility currently houses programs in music, arts, photography, communications studies, cinema, theater, graphic design and education. In addition, a new fitness center, a black box theater, art gallery, gymnasium, the new bookstore and Starbucks café and advising offices are also located in the new building.
During the celebration, NOVA President Scott Ralls will make remarks, as well as Alexandria Campus Provost Annette Haggray and other Virginia legislatures and local leaders. The media is welcome to attend and cover the ceremony.
