Congressman Robert Wittman hosts Town Hall Meeting to discuss education and workforce at NOVA-Woodbridge, Oct. 27

What: Congressman Robert Wittman, U.S. Representative for Virginia's First Congressional District will host a student Town Hall Meeting to discuss education and workforce issues. The public is invited to attend and will also have the opportunity to ask questions at the event.

When: Thursday, Oct. 27 at 1:30 p.m.

About Congressman Wittman

Rob Wittman was first elected to serve the First Congressional District of Virginia in Dec. 2007. He was re-elected for his fourth full term in the House of Representatives in Nov. 2014. For more than 20 years, he has served in several levels of government, from Montross Town Council to United States Congress. In 1986, Wittman was elected to the Montross Town Council, where he served for 10 years, four of them as Mayor. In 1995, Wittman was elected to the Westmoreland County Board of Supervisors and was elected its Chairman in 2003. In 2005, Wittman was elected to the Virginia House of Delegates, where he served until he was elected to the United States House of Representatives in 2007. In the U.S. Congress, Wittman serves on the House Armed Services Committee and the Committee on Natural Resources.
